5-A-Side Football Tournament

The 5-a-side tournament took place on Thursday 30 March at the Leys School astro pitch. Despite a deluge of heavy rain and a building site, 2 pools of 4 teams took to the pitch to battle it out for the title. The draw produced one group consisting of Mills & Reeve, Fenners Chambers, Hewitsons and Savills, while the other pitted some of the more imaginatively named sides - Vinter Milan, Tilly Wizards Soccer Club, The Beer Hunter (from RBS) and Ernst & Young.

The group stages produced two exciting semi finals and a tense and close finale, Hewitsons v Ernst & Young, which eventually saw E&Y triumph and claim the trophy (and crate of beer!).

Afterwards it was off to join the unlucky early exiters for a pint in the Panton Arms.  Thanks to all who took part - we look forward to seeing if E&Y can retain their title next year!
