Cheese & Wine Evening

On a wet and windy Thursday night, 40 eager wine enthusiasts turned up at the cosy surroundings of Ta Bouche Café Bar for the 2006 Young Professionals' wine tasting. On the menu were 4 whites and 4 reds from all corners of the globe with commentary and education being provided by former Cambridge University Wine Society President, and now CYSPG resident wine buff, John Harrison.
While some were eagerly asking for their glasses to be refilled and others were turning their noses up, all the wine was consumed with a great deal of enthusiasm and banter. With many opinions formed (both good and bad) and many feeling a good deal more informed, those who had not been quick enough to get on the list for this numbers limited event joined us for the generous bar tab.
Yet again this has proved to be a greatly enjoyed and well attended event. We would like to thank everyone who attended and made this such an excellent night. We would also like to extend special thanks to John Harrison and our friends at Ta Bouche and Majestic Wines for there help, without which this event would probably not be the success it was.
